Global Mental Health Summit

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate, were at the Mental Health Summit 2018 when they were asked by Colombian-born contemporary artist Dairo Vargas, to contribute on the artwork.

'Father and Son' interactive painting brought to life at Qatar

WISH 2018 placed special focus on the topic of mental health. Over the two days of the summit, a real-time painting entitled ‘Father and Son’ was created by Colombian artist Dairo Vargas, depicting Qatar’s commitment to creating support networks for people suffering from mental illness. Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Michael Phelps, David Miliband, Her Excellency Sheikha Hind added their mark on the artwork.

72nd World Health Assembly

Dairo Vargas was commissioned to create an artwork, Inspired by the real heroes, health workers and to promote The WHO triple billion target, ensuring 1 billion more people benefit from universal health coverage, 1 billion more are protected from health emergencies and 1 billion improve their overall health.

Dr Tedros Adhanom, Director-General of WHO, The former President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Jim Campbell Executive Director, health ministers and hundreds of delegates around the world added their mark to the artwork.

Ian Rush Portrait

Dairo Vargas created a portrait of the footballer for the launch of his Foundation Ian Rush 9. It's aim is to facilitate grassroots football not just in the UK but globally, especially in underprivileged areas.

Dairo Vargas Colombia Award

Dairo Vargas has been awarded in Colombia to celebrate his achievement in the art world and his initiative in mental health working with communities.

The Selfie Wall Trail

The artist Dairo vargas was invited to participate on "The Selfie Wall Trail" in Bournemouth, in Partnership with Ambassadeur Art, Love Bournemouth & Poole Tourism.

Shortlisted SKY Artist

In 2017 Dairo was shortlisted to participate in the tv series, Sky Arts Artist of the Year.
